The Friends of Southfield Public Arts and the Southfield Public Art Commission have commissioned world-renowned Mexican sculptor Sebastian to create a “signature piece” in Southfield for the Nine Mile Corridor Connectivity, Recreation, and Placemaking Project that extends from I-75 in Hazel Park to I-275 in Farmington Hills. Sebastian’s masterwork will stand 98 feet tall at the intersection of Nine Mile Road and Southfield Freeway. All proceeds from this event will help support this important community placemaking and signature destination project.
